The “Shorty” was BELL’s first half-cap helmet, originally developed in 1960 for drivers competing in the Indianapolis 500.
Ocean Beetle has refined this iconic design, with a focus on both comfort and aesthetics, to create the BEETLE SHORTY-4.
Strap
Ocean Beetle upgraded both the leather and nylon components, adopting a single-strap design crafted from high-quality Japanese cowhide.
Each strap is carefully sewn by skilled Japanese artisans.
The nylon webbing is custom-made, with meticulous attention given to every detail, including thread count and yarn gauge.
Interior
Designed to follow the contours of the skull while avoiding pressure points around the parietal ridges, the liner provides a secure yet comfortable fit that gently cradles the entire head.
Visor
Include the “70s Visor” in black.
Chin Guard
Choose between the 60s-style (round hole) and 70s-style (oval hole) chin cups to complete your preferred look.
